– The
VOTE 4 YOUR CHOICE poll is now open for voting.
For those who
aren’t familiar with the VOTE 4 YOUR CHOICE reader poll. The idea came about
after the unexpected attention that was drawn to Reality’s Exit. Reality’s Exit
is the first book under the Short Stories From The Heart series by SD Tracy
Harper currently on sale in the Amazon’s Kindle Book Store. What makes this
book of short stories (Extremely Long
short stories) different from others, is the concept of having a synopsis
and rating guide in the back of the book. This singular difference allows the
reader (shameless plug) to pick the
story that best fit their emotions or anti-emotions. Keeping with the same
spirit of this concept gave birth to the VOTE 4 YOUR CHOICE contest. It’s
unknown how revolutionary, allowing readers to have a choice on what they would
wish to read before a book is published, but it can only be looked at as an
opportunity to have a crap load of fun. The next question was how much
information should be given to allow a person to make a conscious choice on
what they would like to read? Outside the box thinking was needed, and it came
with a resounding explosion.
Two of the most
agreed upon choices were a synopsis and a few sample chapters (Sneak Peeks). The synopsis was a clear,
obvious direction to take, but Sample Chapters? The winning argument to this
dilemma was the fact that when submitting a manuscript for review to publishing
companies sample chapters are provided. It was also pointed out that several of
the most prominent sellers of eBooks from established and independent authors
also provide sample chapters to allow prospective buyers an opportunity to
experience a small portion of what is available for them to purchase. Other
examples were made, but in the end the Sneak Peek concept was accepted. Once
the books were selected to participate in this unusual pairing of book to
reader and not a reader trying to find a book, the VOTE 4 YOUR CHOICE contest
was born. Oh, but it wouldn’t be fun not to see where readers had the greatest
interest to stir up some early excitement.
On several occasions, it was publicized what books were received
the most attention. This is by no means to say they will come out the winner,
but after the original site crashed and other Sneak Peeks were added, not much
has changed. There were some surprises,
but overall the top three may have changed places from time to time, but they
had remained strong. These books are: book #2 The
Skiver Genius in 1st place, book #3 Fail
To Remember in 2nd place, and bringing up the
rear is book #6 “The Emperors Heir in 3rd
place. With the polls now open, Synopsis
(under the Vote 4 Your Choice tab),
and Sneak Peeks of each book now available under the tab of the same name, it’s
time to move on to choose the next book published by SD Tracy Harper.
