Ask SD Tracy Harper On Wednesdays!

I've dusted off an old class assignment I'd written for a course in Creative Writing and have decided to publish it on the SD Tracy Harper Blog. It's a charming little Christmas story called The Plan. It is a semi-autobiographical account of one of my childhood Christmas. I'm releasing it on line December 24, 2014 in place of the usual Ask SD

Reality's Exit

First book from the Short Stories From the Heart Series. 2nd Edition is available on Amazon in the Kindle Bookstore.

That New Book Smell
I once took a chance and entered a contest. This may not sound exciting to you, but I rarely (if ever) enter contests.

Who Are You
Recently I’ve started looking deeper into perceptions. You might ask; SD, why would you waste your time into that subject?

Two Sides, Same Coin
Is your character an arrogant dirt bag or a lovable slacker? Either way you look at it, their intelligence isn’t the effect, but the cause or reason why everyone wishes to wrap their hands around their neck.

One Man Band
It’s already known that writing is a singular endeavor. Even when there is collaboration, it is the individual’s idea that is brought forth to the forefront and only then is it accepted, changed, or denied outright from steering the direction of the overall work being produced.

Q:  SD, I have a friend who constantly tells me I’m not a good writer and to give up on writing a novel. They had gone as far as to try and convince our friends that they should tell me the same thing. All of them except the one friend likes my stories and had even convinced me to submit them in contest. Actually, I had won quite a few. Recently I noticed a letter from a publisher with my friend name on it, what should I do? Pissed! (More Attached.)
